What began as Tamu Safaris back in 1987 grew out of a deep love for travel and more than a decade of living in Africa, learning firsthand about its friendly people, vibrant cultures, and incredible wildlife. We are proud to have been recognized by the New York Times and Washington Post for our outstanding trips and we are delighted to have been selected by Conde Nast Traveler, ABC News, and Public Broadcasting Service, as their selected travel company for putting together special itineraries to Africa. After 20 years as one of the world’s top safari experts, our loyal clients kept asking if we would also arrange trips for them to other countries and continents. And that is how Tamu Tours was born. Of course, we are still a top safari company, but we have expanded our portfolio to include other great travel destinations that we know in depth first hand.

From Africa to the Americas, from the Mediterranean to Asia, we specialize in designing customized tours based on your specific interests. As dedicated travelers, we take great pleasure in planning trips to places that we know and love for others who also enjoy traveling – individuals, couples, friends, families, special groups and associations – travel that is fun, affordable and meaningful.
